Telehealth Ontario is a free, confidential service that is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The good news is that it is free.
Telehealth Ontario does not make medical diagnosis or dispense medication, but they do provide guidance.
The calls are handled by registered nurses. For example, they will let you know whether, you could :
handle the problem yourself, or
visit a medical doctor or nurse practitioner, or
go to a walk in clinic, or
contact a community service, or
go to your nearest hospital emergency room.

If the matter is an emergency, do not call Telehealth Ontario, but dial 911 immediately.
So what can you call Telehealth Ontario about ?
an illness or injury that needs medical care and won't go away or keep coming back
advice on nutrition and healthy living
teen health and living
depression, suicide or other mental health concerns
medications and drug interactions
breastfeeding.
The service does not replace a visit to your doctor for an actual diagnosis or prescription nor does it replace having a family doctor.
